A showcase for Online Documentaries and Photography.

This current selection is based on Gilles' work. These photographs, taken over a 4-month period in 1993, resulted in a book as well as a travelling exhibition.

Visitors who attended the exhibitions were offered the opportunity to respond to the images, turning galleries into public forums for discussion and expression on an issue of international importance.

At the Corcoran Gallery in Washington D.C., a room was set up that allowed people to write letters to the people of Bosnia. In New York and Florida a "video confessional" booth was set up to allow people to respond on tape. Some examples of these experiences are offered here in the Reaction Room.

This site does not attempt to offer a definitive account of recent events, rather one eyewitness's eloquent testimony. For more information about events in Bosnia we offer links to other sites.
